Charged With A Felony DUI Or As A Repeat DUI Offender? We Can Help.
If you are convicted of a second or third DUI, your potential penalties will increase dramatically. In addition, it is likely that you will be required to participate in a breath alcohol ignition interlock device (BAIID) or Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor (SCRAM) program. Each of these programs involve additional costs and monitoring. An experienced attorney can help.

Dedicated To Protecting Your Rights After A Repeat DUI/DWI Arrest
At The Law Offices of Steven R. Roach, we explore alternatives to any lengthy license suspension, jail time and fines you may face. For example, it may be possible to arrange a plea bargain for you that involves a lesser charge in exchange for extended community service hours and enrollment in an alcohol abuse program.
What Are The BAIID And SCRAM Programs?
Both the BAAID and SCRAM program involve monitoring drivers who qualify for a DUI hardship license as they drive to and from work or school.
The BAIID attaches to your car and functions like a breathalyzer, requiring you to blow into the device before your car will start. If your blood alcohol content (BAC) is measured at more than .025, the BAIID will turn off your car and not allow it to start. The cost for installing a BAIID is roughly $150, and you are required to pay an additional $100 monthly fee while you are enrolled in the program.
The SCRAM device attaches to your leg at the ankle and must be in continuous contact with your skin. It too measures BAC, using the body’s perspiration, transmitting BAC readings to a remote central monitoring location. The SCRAM device costs roughly $15 a day.
